In 2007 the company was sold to Ultraspeed UK Ltd and I was appointed as group Marketing Director. In September 2009 I left the company to return to fundraising. I worked for the Eric Liddell Centre for 14 months where I combined work in fundraising, marketing, social media and web development. This resulted in a considerable improvement in their financial performance.
In December 2011 I combined my voluntary sector experience and my private sector management skills with my appointment as manager of Eco-Congregation Scotland. This is a one year appointment funded by the Scottish Government overseeing the organisations move from a voluntary body to a registered charity and expanding its work.
I am one of very few professional fundraisers who has done everything from emptying static collecting boxes and organising flag days to soliciting big gifts from wealthy individuals & foundations and managing staff fundraising teams.
I am also one of the few people to have run a profitable mass market web hosting and domain name registration business.
