Following on from last week’s point, one of the underlying reasons why smaller charities don’t ask for enough money is lack of confidence in their cause.
When you spend time being inundated with messages from large charities with gargantuan publicity budgets who can get their cause into the news headlines it can seem that what you are doing as a smaller organisation is of less importance. But it isn’t for your donors. Otherwise they would not be supporting you at all.
So ignore the hype around the current “good cause” and have confidence in your charitable mission this week.
